Committees

Christmas Parade Committee
The Christmas Parade committee plans and coordinates the annual town Christmas parade and ensures the Chamber has an entry in the parade.

Annual Banquet Committee
The Annual Banquet committee plans and coordinates the capstone meeting of the year and strives to meet profit goals as a non-dues fundraiser.

Golf Tournament Committee
The Golf Tournament committee plans and coordinates the annual tournament at the Ponderosa Country Club. The golf tournament is typically scheduled in May, and provides an excellent networking opportunity and social event for members. The committee strives to meet profit goals as a non-dues fundraiser.

County Liaison
The County Liaison serves as liaison between Chamber and Lexington County by providing information to the Chamber Board of Directors. This liaison is represented by the current County Councilman from District 2.

Youth Committee
Dream Catchers is the youth committee of the Batesburg-Leesville Chamber of Commerce. Begun in 2015 and winning the annual President’s Award in 2018, the youth group’s mission of “Creating resources to help our youth become leaders and responsible citizens” has become an integral part of the Batesburg-Leesville community. The working relationship between the group, the Chamber, the Town, the businesses, churches and community service organizations should set an example for towns across America.

Membership Development Services Committee
The Membership Development Services committee plans and coordinates all member to member services.

Education Liaison
The Education Liaison serves as liaison between Chamber and Lexington County School District Three by providing information to the Chamber Board of Directors. This liaison is represented by the current Superintendent of Lex. Co. School District Three.

Small Business Awards Committee
The Small Business Awards Committee assists with the process of selecting a small business of the year.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating committee nominates a slate of candidates from current Chamber members for the vacant positions on the Chamber Board of Directors. The number of nominations are identical in number to the Board vacancies to be filled.
